Background

Tourism and agriculture can provide opportunities for economic growth, inspire visitors to adopt a more sustainable lifestyle and minimize the negative impact on natural and cultural resources.

 

This approach was applied to two European tourism regions in two projects implemented together with the TUI Care Foundation. Among other things, the aim was to combine sustainable agriculture and tourism as pillars of sustainable regional development, to strengthen the local economy and to reduce the environmental impact of agriculture.
